Rock Climbing

Practice the vertical arts and enjoy splitter views of the forested hills from a perch above their canopy.

Commonly guided rock climbing venues include Beacon Rock, Broughton Bluff, Smith Rock, and more obscure crags in the Mt. Hood National Forest.

Objectives are guided at a maximum ratio of 2:1. Field-based instruction takes place at a max of 6:1.

Alpine Climbing

Enjoy a great sense of accomplishment in summitting one of the great peaks of the Pacific Northwest.

We can also teach you techniques and how to use equipment common to alpine climbing such as crampons, ice axes, rope strategies, and more.

Objectives are generally guided at a maximum ratio of 2:1, sometimes 3:1. Field-based instruction takes place at a max of 6:1.

Backcountry Skiing

We find the best available snow for the today and rip it silly. Along the way you will pick up new knowledge and insights about the wonderful medium we call snow.

We primarily utilize near and below treeline terrain on the Mt. Hood National Forest, which can provide excellent mid-winter powder skiing.

Ski guiding and avalanche education are run at a max ratio of 6:1.
