Cancellation & Refund Policies
As guides operating in a mountain environment, we're no strangers to changing plans. Our policies surrounding money and your trip are simple and are detailed below.
If you need to cancel your trip, please do so 30 days from the scheduled start date or earlier. We encourage you to reschedule and we will work to find a new trip date that works for both of us.

You will recieve a full refund, if no rescheduling opportunities can be found. | We will retain 50% of your payment and refund you the other 50%. | We will do our best to fill your spot from a waitlist. If we cannot fill your spot, we will retain 100% of your payment. |
NOTE: Certain courses such as those requiring online, pre-course material, it's difficult to fill from the waitlist with just a week out.
Cancellation on our side
If we need to cancel on our end for any reason, we will work with you to find a suitable solution such as rescheduling. Reasons to cancel include weather, guide's health, and more. If a suitable solution cannot be found, we will refund you your entire payment.
Right to Accommodate
These policies are set to try to strike a reasonable balance between running a business and keeping people happy when unexpected events come up. We retain the right to accommodate you on a case-by-case basis which may include more generous terms to you than are outlined here.
Other Information
Travel Insurance
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for all field-based courses or guided days. Insurance protects your financial investment by covering your costs in the event of any unforeseen circumstances such as cancellations outside of our refund window, injuries, or illness prior to or during the course or guided day, or cancellations due to lack of snow or events beyond our control, etc.
Forms of Payment
We accept all major credit cards as well as checks made payable to Wylark Mountaineering LLC.
Changes from previous version
This policy was updated on October 22, 2024. Language regarding deposits was removed as we now require payment in full when booking a course or program.
